Donating stocks, bonds or shares of your mutual funds is easily accomplished and your broker can assist you in making a gift of securities to MSMF:
- You will receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities on the date of transfer, no matter what you originally paid.
- You will pay no capital gains tax on the securities you donate.
